Normally the serial number will be preceded by the tractor model number (some '02 & '20 series tractors will not though). The serial number will ALWAYS be 5 numbers - no letters. These serial numbers contain NO data about options or year the tractor was manufactured like a VIN number on a car would. These are purely incremental and probably. If your TC 30 has a serial number that begins with the H its an earlier model TC 30. In 2007 New Holland started coding the serial number with the year built in the serial number. To get the correct manuel off Ebay make sure you get the later edition of the manuel and the serial numbers match up.
